Possibly the lightest insulated mug you’ll find, the Sea to Summit Delta InsulMug is a Delta Mug wrapped in an insulating PU sleeve and topped off with a sipper lid, now you can have your coffee whilst tackling tough terrain.

Made with tough Nylon 66 material and insulated with non-water absorbing Poly Urethane, the Delta InsulMug also has a leak-proof lid that features a sipping port… could also be handy for avoiding coffee stains on the morning train commute!

Don’t buy if you plan to use the lid.

I bought two for our hiking kit. The lid feels loose and the hole is awkwardly positioned. It’s difficult to drink from the lid. I have other S2S gear and have already bought more, this is the first item from S2S I wouldn’t recommend.

Not what I was hoping. ;-(

I love sea to summit gear and had great hope for this cup. Unfortunately I wore more of my drinks this weekend than what I got to drink. ;-( be it hot or cold. For some reason the cup never sealed no matter where I moved the lid to. It would always dribble down the middle and down my shirts. I actually gave up using it in the end because it irritated me that much. Sorry for a poor review but this is not an item I would ever buy again. 😧 It will however not stop me from purchasing other sea to summit gear.

Delta lnsulated mug

Found the mug to be of good quality, certainly keeps hot goods hotter for longer than a china mug that I have been using. The soft insulating cover around the mug made it easy to grip and also stops you burning your hands when using for hot goods.
The only thing I find that I could fault was the lid was rather loose fitting, but that’s miner I’m being picky.

Great cup

400mls + was a very good size on the (dry) Larapinta Trail. Kept the tea/coffee/cupasoup hot long enough while delayed by packing or washing etc. the insulation prevented the cup from feeling hot. Wide base was stable on uneven surfaces and the lid further helped prevent spills and kept the heat in.
Not all rosy though, we needed to measure water for freeze dried meals and found the measuring marks very hard almost impossible to see. The only other thing is that the cups are not stackable and so we have and enjoy only one and not 2 because space is a premium in our packs during multi day walks but it is a great cup that I hope to use for many years.

Lid problems

The cup itself is super handy and reliable, awesome shape and keeps stuff warm for the perfect amount of time between packing my sleeping bag and setting off for the day’s walk. The only problem I have with my cup is that the lid doesn’t fit very securely on the mug. I’m not sure if this is a problem caused by shipping as I have two of the same mugs and the lid is quite loose on both. However, when there is hot liquid in it the lid seems to fit much better. I have a couple mates with the same mug and the lids on their mugs fit much better

If I were to use it for coffee, would it fit a single small shot cappuccino coffee or fit a 2 shot medium cappuccino coffee size? I need one desperately in my car at 4:30am

The Sea to Summit Delta Insulated Mug can hold about 473ml, so I would say that you'd have no worries at using it for a medium cappuccino.

Hi, just wondering if this will fit in a regular camp chair cup holder. I find I can't fit a beer with a stubby cooler on it, so just wondering?

I've just given this a quick whirl for you and the Sea to Summit Delta Insulated Mug didn't fit in most of the cup holders on out chairs. There were one or two that it did fit into but I would suggest that if your chair has a "regular" cup holder, then it would probably be a little small.

I’ve just had a look at the Delta Insulated Mug in store, and the sipper on the lid of the Sea to Summit Delta Mug can't be closed off, and to fit the lid on - you just push down on it.

The seal of the lid is drip proof, but as it’s got a sipper on it, you’re not going to be able to seal this mug off completely. As far as we understand it, the lid is mostly to keep the beverage warm, but if you’re after something completely sealable then the Camelbak Forge is a good option.
