You shouldn't have any issues using Delta cutlery to stir food whilst cooking, as they're food grade nylon.
Will this item fit inside the alpha 1.2l pot?

I like your thinking, but not quite, I've got this combo and can make it fit if the cutlery set is angled, but I have the set with the mugs so it doesn't quite fit. If you're just using the pot and cutlery though, you should be all ok!
