The smallest in the Oztrail range of Compactlite chairs, the Traveller is small and light enough to pop in your day pack and take hiking. You might even be tempted to carry one in your backpack on a longer trek – a little luxury doesn’t go astray.

Weighing in at 2.5kg, it’s one of the lightest chairs in the category. It packs down to roughly the size of a handbag, but don’t think that means you will not compromise on comfort. This is one comfy chair.

The mesh pocket at the front will hold your beer and snacks. The sling shape will caress your shape just right – you won’t want to get up. The durable 600 denier 100% polyester fabric and high tensile steel frame will support human frames up to 120kg.

Great chair

This is a great, compact chair. I find it really comfortable to sit in, although the sides can be a little intrusive (I'm used to a camping chair with arm rests though, so it will just take a little getting used to). It's quick to set up, but as the other reviewer said, you do have to wrestle with the last corner to get the fabric on. I think it will get easier after a few uses though. Overall, I love it because it's so small when it's packed up, and a lot more comfortable than a stool.

Very useful. Carried it in luggage to Uluru and used it to sit and wait for sunrises, sunsets, and watching the night sky. The fabric is a tight fit over the frame... you need to be strong to put the last two corners on.

G'day Snowy's, could you please tell the dimensions of this chair when it is all packed up?1 answer

I would be looking to take it on my motorcycle, so would need it to pack down reasonably small. Thanks guys.

Hi Trevor,

I've just double checked the measurements for you and this chair is 34L x 16W x 11H cm when packed. While it does pack down very small, this chair does weigh 2.8kg so you should bear that in mind if you're planning on taking it on the back of the bike.
