Do you know whether this would fit in the Weber baby Q(1200) higher lid with the lid down.

We don't, sorry Chris. I've double-checked the external dimensions, and they're pretty much bang on.
You should be able to use these to measure against your Baby Q space - that will give you the best idea on wether it will fit.
