If you’re heading away for the weekend and keen to make things super simple, the CFX3 25 Portable Fridge/Freezer from Dometic offers the convenience and performance you’ve been wanting.
This unit packs a punch. It’ll fit 33 cans, but swap out some tinnies and the 25L capacity will fit a surprising amount of food. Even more impressive, Dometic has constructed the CFX3 with a heavy-duty yet lightweight ExoFrame, with an integrated fender to protect the edges. Plus, the strong aluminium alloy handles are spring-loaded to make lifting and carrying easier. The CFX3 uses Dometic’s market-leading VMSO3 variable-speed compressor, while optimised software ensures efficiency and top-notch cooling and freezing. It also uses gasket technology to provide a superior seal, keeping cool air inside the unit to avoid wasting precious power.
Download the app to control and monitor the internal temperature from your tent - and if you skip away without closing the lid properly, you’ll get a notification to tell you so. For the meticulous planner or those who love to get techy, the app also allows recording of performance history - helpful when going on a more extended off-grid trip. If your phone isn’t handy, the high-res colour display panel on the unit itself provides all the info you need, plus many protection systems in place to keep it waterproof, dustproof and scratch-resistant. Power the CFX3 by AC, DC, or solar, and charge your phone with the upgraded USB port.
Dometic’s CFX3 25 Portable Fridge/Freezer has been built for you and all your quick trips in the Aussie outdoors.

Hi guys! Am I able to remove the handles on this fridge? Won't fit in my space otherwise.
G'day Sally,
Yes the handles can be removed with an Allen key & screwdriver, it would be 50.5cm long without the handles. If the fridge needs to be anchored with tie-down straps, you'll need to do that through the handles as there are no other tie-down points.
Power consumption per hr set to run at minus 17
G'day Ian,
We don't have specs at specific temperatures sorry, there are too many variables that can affect power consumption for anything quoted to be reliable - unless you can also stipulate the testing conditions.
Dometic have advised this fridge draws a maximum of 6.5A, so it'll never be more than that. In winter, with a low ambient temperature, you'll probably use no more than 2A. In the middle of summer with higher ambient temps, you'll obviously be drawing a lot more.
Hi team, just wondering what the length of the CFX 25 is with the handles removed? I’ve got a tight squeeze in my ranger supercab. Thanks in advance.
G'day Rob,
You can have a closer look at this on the final image on our product page, with the schematics/plan of the fridge.
The without handles measurement is 50.5cm.
