Hi, what is the expiry date for this product? Thanks
G'day Jackie,
Back Country food has a shelf life of 2 years from date of manufacture. We've recently received a new delivery, so most of our current stock has an expiry ranging mid to late 2025.
My daughter can't eat those foods and is gluten free too.
Hi Ann, the Beef mince does not contain onion or garlic. Please follow this link to the Back Country Cuisine website where you can see full ingredient lists for all of their products!
I have food intolerances and intend to use your mince, rice and vegetables to make a meal with no sauces or extra ingredients. Just wondering whether a full packet of mince and rice would do 2 meals? If yes would it keep ok if the packet is open until the next night on a multi day hike?
Hi Bronwyn, According to the dietary information panel on the back of the packet there are 5 serves per packet. If you are eating the mince, rice and vege together I would think you might need to use half a packet of each for a good meal at the end of a long day. There is no indication on the packet that the contents must be consumed within a particular time frame, and I can't think of a reason there would be a problem with consuming the second half of the packet 24 hours later. Maybe a trial run before you head on your trip would help to work out how much you'll need. I hope this helps.
