In the back of your ute, or strapped to a yak, the Tatonka Barrel Bag XL is large and tough enough to go on any expedition. If your mode of transport stops, you can pull out the backpack straps and continue on foot.

Made with robust and waterproof tarpaulin material with extra padding and a layer of Textreme polyester over the base for extra durability, the Barrel bags are the most indestructible bag in the Tatonka range.

A zippered mesh pocket on the back of the lid along with two interior accessory pockets help keep things organised, while rubberised grab handles on each end and a top carry handle make for easy handling.

To Mt Everest Base Camp and Back!

I took this XL Tatonka Barrel Bag with me to Nepal in October to trek to the Mount Everest Base Camp (via Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass). This bag was carried by a Nepalese porter and the shoulder straps came in very handy! This bag did so well, to have been rolled in dirt, dropped on the ground, wet and in snow conditions-it kept everything I owned dry (without a pack liner inside). The make of the bag is of extreme high quality, had no problems with zips or straps. I love that there is the ability to lock the bag with padlocks! I 100% recommend this bag to anyone who wishes to travel overseas and/or on trekking trips!
