If you need a replacement or maybe even an upgrade for you pack, then look no further than the Camelbak Antidote Reservoir.
With auto shutoff, a secure seal that can’t be overtightened, and easy one-handed use – this shorter style reservoir is simple and practically foolproof.
Designed to complement the Camelbak military range, this reservoir will adapt to any situation you find yourself in – whether it be hiking on a trail or going into combat.
As long as it’s first in, when packing my backpack, I’ve had no dramas with the Camelbak. From the baffles, to the insulated tube, it’s a well built and excellent water bladder. Would highly recommend it ( may need to buy the magnetic tube trap, as the insulated tube is quite long). Would also like to give a big thumbs up to Snowys too, for all the help and quick replies to my emails.
This is my second unit and I must say that I love it just like my previous one. Now I can have up to 6 litres of capacity with the ease of switching just the tube. In fact, given the quick release mechanism, I can now attach a inline quick release water filter as well, such as Sawyer Mini (https://sawyer.com/products/mini-filter/)(https://www.outdooryou.com.au/view/?id=1)
It would be great if Snowys could have Sawyer water filtration and other products in their repertoire :)
had to replace one due to leaking near seal, not lid. Got replacement and another leaks. I would stay clear of this one
Oh I'm sorry to hear that Nathan!
This comes as a bit of a surprise... if you have a sec, please give us a call (1300 914 007), we'd like to find out more and do whatever we can to fix the issue. Laine :)
This is definitely one of the best purchase I have made. The smaller profile makes it fit better in the water bladder pouch of most hiking backpacks. If it gets awkward to fit there, then it can easily sit on top of things inside a backpack. All in all, really versatile. The wide handle makes it easier to fill it anywhere, especially on a trail. The tubing on this version is long enough for most packs (tested up to 65L packs). The best feature is quick release tubing and mouthpiece, making it modular and you can replace things easily. The water-flow through this mouth-piece is also much higher than other versions.
This 3L short bladder is the perfect fit for my Osprey Atmos AG 65 pack. The low but wide profile means it does not protrude into the main storage areas as much as others do. Water tastes fine. I find the support handle makes for easy filling and inserting into the pack.
Hose attachment is very positive.
I hope that the support clip, being open on one side does not break like the Opsrey 3L one did (I see that Osprey have now gone for a closed loop)
Already had a 3L "long" version of this for another bag, and the "short" version fits my backpack perfectly!
Locke the mouthpiece - suits me well and very solid construction all round.
Awesome bit of gear they live up to their name
Exactly what I was after at an affordable price and speedy service.
Is there much difference between the long and short versions? I assume that the hose is the same size and that the short will fit most packs? I have one of these (3rd & 5th photos show the hydration pouch): https://gearlocker.nz/hunters-element-contour-pack-review/
The main difference between the two models is the shape. The hose on the Long Antidote Military Reservoir should also be longer to accommodate the shape of the reservoir, but we don't have them in stock at the moment so I can't check this in person.
The best way to find out if this will fit your pack, is whip out a tape measure and compare the dimensions of the hydration area in your pack to the dimensions of this reservoir which are 34L x 20W x 6H cm.
