Are the soles on these Altitude VI i WP Wmn's Boot as grippy on rock as Vibram soles?

We'd say you'd have somewhat similar performance as they are both soft compound moulded soles.
These Hi-Tecs are one of our most popular boots and we have great reviews and feedback from people about their performance. Generally if a shoe lacks grip or is slippery in anyway, it's one of the first things to be raised by customers.

Hi, Can these boots be polished with shoe polish when they get scratched/scuffed?

There's a DWR (durable water repellant chemical treatment) which is on the outside of the leather, so polishing would get rid of that. But, polishing wouldn't affect the waterproof membrane that is built into the boot.
