Alpine vs Darche 9001 answer
For very cold weather (-6) which would think would be warmer?
Gordon - Canberra(4 years ago)
G"day Gordon,
We'd rate the Alpine View Hooded as slightly warmer than the Cold Mountain 900. The comfort temperature goes down slightly lower to -9'C on the Alpine View.

Pilbara v Alpine View1 answer
Hi, I'm having trouble deciding between the Pilbara and Alpine view sleeping bags. I'm leaning towards the Alpine for warmth as we do a bit of camping in the winter but the Pilbara has excellent reviews. Do you have any feedback on the Alpine?
Elizabeth - Myponga(4 years ago)
G'day Elizabeth,
I assume you're probably comparing the Alpine View and Pilbara C-5 based on the temperature range. The Pilbara C-5 is a good option, but we do give it a Snowys Comfort Rating of 5'C so it might not be quite warm enough for you on cold winter nights. The Alpine drops down to -9 so it might be a better option in terms of temperature. We do get good reviews on these but being a clearance item they are selling out really quickly!

Yes you can unzip the bag fully and use it like a blanket/doona.
