Hello. Is the stated 90mm headroom the actual available height inside the swag? Would a 6ft male be able to sig up inside it? Thank you
Reuben - Upwey, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Reuben,
Yes, that's the actual available height in the swag. Every 6ft persons body proportions are going to be different, depends how long your body is. If you're not 100% sure just sit up against a wall and measure how high you are when sitting. Hope that helps.

Stretcher1 answer
After watching a guy set this swag up I’ve had thoughts of going the swag way for future trips But this is about stretcher—as I have a very good quality one already would it suffice Or do I get the Darche one Also using the door flap as an awning can one purchase side curtains to fully enclose the annex Thanks
Barry - Melbourne, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Barry,
You can literally use any stretcher you like with a swag, the main thing to consider is that the stretcher is not wider or larger than the swag base if you want to camp in rainy or wet weather. If the stretcher is bigger, water can catch and pool between the swag and the stretcher. If your existing stretcher is less than 110cm wide and 215cm long, it should be a good match.

Swags1 answer
Will the darche airvolution blow away in heavy winds
Walter - Adelaide, SA(3 years ago)
G'day Walter,
The Airvolution needs to be pegged out and set up like a normal swag, it's just that instead of hooped poles, there are rigid poles of air. The overall weight of this swag is the same as the standard poled versions, so this swag is not lighter at all. The performance in wind will generally be the same as any other swag.

Center Sag1 answer
Is there any issues with the center air pole sagging? It's my biggest concern with this swag
Lee - 3216(4 years ago)
G'day Lee,
There should be any issues with sagging as long as you inflate the poles to the correct PSI. You'll need to peg out the ends to make sure the swag holds it's shape and tension.

Mattress1 answer
How ya going, is the 50mm mattress separate to the swag. If not can you supply an extra mattress for mor comfort ? Thanks
Danny - Perth (5 years ago)
G'day Danny,
The Air-volution AD 1100 is supplied with a removable 50mm mattress, but you could purchase a 70mm separately and replace the mattress, or stack two on top of each other if you wanted.

What is the best stretcher for this swag3 answers
I was wondering what is the most stable stretcher that this swag can fit on. The oztrail jumbo seems like a great design but may not be wide enough.
Tim - Geelong(6 years ago)
G'day Tim,
Thanks for your enquiry! I have spoken with Darche and they have confirmed the best stretcher to fit your Darche Air-Volution AD 1100 Swag is the Darche XL 100 Stretcher. You can actually see them pictured together here on the swag's product page. While the stretcher is a bit narrower than the swag, the overhang will cause no issue just place the swag in the centre of the stretcher.
Gen - Snowys(6 years ago)
I’m skeptical about an 100 wide stretcher being the best option for a 110 wide swag? Is this truly the best option, I understand Darcie recommending their own product but I would expect an independent response. Are there better images of this?
Jason - Paradise Point (5 years ago)
G'day Jason,
We find that swags that are 1100 wide don't fare overly well on stretchers as they are an unusual width. The Darche brand stretcher that Gen has linked in is no longer a current stock line as Darche are releasing a new model soon so we don't have any more images available. The other stretcher we have that is the same width is the Oztent RS-1S which may suit, but will also be a little narrower than the swag overall.

Mattress 1 answer
Could you please tell us what self inflatable mattress would fit this? We like a 10cm zempire megamat that we have already for something else but it is a bit skinny for the 1100 width for this. Cheers
Kim - Camden(6 years ago)
G'day Kim,
When it comes to 1100mm wide self-inflating mattresses, there's not a huge amount on offer sadly. Your best bet would probably be the Darche All Terrain 1100.

packed size3 answers
can you tell me the size of this swag packed up
Peter - Croydon North(7 years ago)
G'day Peter,
I've just rolled up our display model and it's 110cm wide by 40cm round. To be honest, that's a very tight roll with no bedding inside so those factors would probably blow it out to more 45-50cm round.
Ben - Snowys(7 years ago)
How ya going, does this swag come with a seperate mattress or is it part of the swag.
Danny - Perth (5 years ago)
G'day Danny,
The Darche Air-Volution AD1100 comes with a 5cm mattress that is removable as required for cleaning/seasoning.
