I was wondering if you knew what the weight limit is, please?
G'day Lucinda,
These chairs don't have a specified weight rating, as the mat component is taking the load. The mats also don't have a specified weight rating, but are tested to well over 300kg.
Can you use it without the sleeping mat? similar to the crazy creek seat?
G'day Olivia,
You could use this with or without the mat although the mat gives it the structure it needs to be comfortable. It is a thin fabric so there wouldn't be any padding on the chair if a mattress wasn't used.
A previous customer review said if you were exhausted at the end of the day and didn't feel like messing with the mat, the chair would still provide the back relief/reclining position. It just sort of squeezes you in since you don't have the mat as structural support.
I'm wondering if over time stuffing a sleeping mat into a chair shape will cause creasing, wear and tear, or possible even a hole in the sleeping mat? Looking at taking something like this on an extended through hike and wondering if it will cause more trouble than its worth if it damages my sleeping set up with repeated use. Have you had any feedback on this at all? Also, I'm looking to pair this with the "Sea to Summit Comfort Light Insulated Wmn's Sleeping Mat" in the large size which is the same length as the unisex regular sizes, so that should fit right?
G'day Zoe,
Thanks for getting in touch, I've just had a chat with our resident long walker Sam and she's used her air chair fairly extensively over a few years with both a comfort light insulated, and ether light insulated mat, and hasn't had any issues with wear and tear, so we think it shouldn't be an issue. Yes, the women's long will suit the Regular Air chair, as it is the same length as the Regular unisex model as you indicate.

G'day Edward,
Yes the Air Chair Regular is designed to fit all of the Sea to Summit small and regular self-inflating and air mats. So the Comfort Light Insulated Sleeping Mat Regular will be a good fit for this chair.
