Compact, hardy and built especially for high-performance activities, the Actik headlamp from Petzl is the ideal illuminator for mountaineering, running, hiking and backpacking.

With 350 lumens of brightness, two beam patterns, and multiple lighting modes the Actik is the perfect pal to accompany you on all your demanding outdoor activities. There’s nothing worse than turning on your light, only to have it burn your eyes and ruin your night vision. The red lighting option on the Actik will allow you to get up in the middle of the night for a toilet break or midnight snack without hurting your eyes or blinding your fellow trekkers.

Night visibility is also made easier as the headband is reflective and in emergencies, you can blow on the attached whistle if you need a helping hand. The Actik has two power options: you can use it with the included three standard batteries or the rechargeable battery. If you’ve got a passion for outdoor sports, then the Actik from Petzl will provide you with all the lighting options for all your active pursuits.

My first Petzl

Have just bought this attracted by it's ability to use the Core battery along with the Noctilight. The headlamp is a bargain especially when you consider the cost of the battery if purchased separately and it's 350 lumens capability.

The only one to take on the Kokoda

Took an earlier model on the Kokoda in 2006, wettest one in 20 years. When all other failed this one keep going. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Light, bright, convenient and adaptable

LOVE this headlamp. Great light. Long lasting battery. Can be recharged from my portable phone charger.

And best of all it becomes a fantastic camp light if you buy the Petzl Noclilight accessory for a few dollars more.

Great for running

I'm primarily using this head torch for my run commute. It's bright enough to see small debris so I am able to run at full pace. It is light, comfortable and stays in place on my head.

While you could pay less for a head torch, the convenience of a rechargeable battery is worth the expense.

Rechargeable and Battery Option

Red lamp is great when using inside the tent and not wanting to wake others up. Love the option of charging via USB or using disposable batteries. Easy to operate, no issues.

Rechargable barrtery included?2 answers

The specs list is ambiguous... suggests the USB rechargable battery is INCLUDED, and it is COMPATIBLE with AAAs.

- Perth(12 months ago)

G'day Craig,

Sorry, there has been some confusion regarding this, the Petzl Actik core Headlamp does, in fact, come with the rechargeable battery included.

- Snowys(12 months ago)

G'day Craig,

The batteries are included and available now with the Petzl Actik Core Headlamp.

If you'd like to purchase a spare or replacement battery, these are currently out of stock until mid-December.
