If you need a lighting set up that packs enough punch to illuminate a large campsite or family camper trailer, then check out the 6 Bar LED 3 Colour Camp Light Kit from Hard Korr.
This kit contains four 50cm orange/white light bars, and two 30cm orange/white light bars which provide cool white, warm white and orange lighting options. The Tri-Colour Dimmer Switch gives you the ability to produce three shades of light: cool white, warm white and orange. These lights consume a low amount of power, have minimal heat output, and are IP68 rated making them completely watertight. The bars have a removable diffuser for a wider and more pleasant light beam, an extrusion profile to make them stronger, and the removable end caps hide the wiring for flush mounting.
A breeze to set up, this kit includes inbuilt magnets for metal surfaces and removable pole clips for easy attachment. Brighten up your family-sized camper trailer or larger campsite with the 6 Bar LED 3 Colour Camp Light Kit from Hard Korr.

hi there do you have to link up all lights or can you say use 4 only.
G'day Simmo,
The Hard Korr light kits are full adaptable, so you can use anywhere between 1-6 lights in your setup at any given time.
Each dimmer switch has an amp output limit though, so I'm not sure if you'd be able to use every light bar on one single string, I think you'd have to keep it as 4 bars max per dimmer.
Can the bars be isolated so can turn on individually, or do they all have to be on at once?
G'day Andrew,
This set comes with 2 x dimmer switches, meaning you can have two separately controlled strings of light.
If you'd like to run all lights individually, you'll need to pick up and extra dimmer for each light that you want to control on its own.
You'll also need to pick up some extra cable splitters which allow the lines to peal off for each individual dimmer/light.
What would be your recommendation on attaching to an air tent and in particular the Zempire Airforce v2?
G'day Byron,
We dont carry the Airforce V2, so I'm not personally familiar with what the tents go going on. What I can say, is strip or bar lighting is notoriously difficult to use with air tents. There's no off-the-shelf or easy solution. The only thing I can suggest would be to have see if you can get between the air poles and outer fly in some spots & have a bit of a play around with ideas like velcro straps, mini silicone or webbing straps, or tape, etc
I leave my rear tailgate door open whilst setting up camp and during the day. Will the orange light act as a barrier from bugs and insect from entering inside vehicle?
G'day Kevin,
Yes, the orange light is super effective at reducing bug activity.
I think there's also a rough claim somewhere that it can lessen it by up to 90%.
I personally run the 3 colour lighting system from Hard Korr, and can confirm the orange light is awesome.
Can the ext leads be shortened ?
G'day Denise,
No, the extension leads can't be shortened (unless you're handy with a soldering iron).
Also, l was told by the salesperson that they can be hardwired. If so, I need to cut one end wire off (as this is the end of the line). Does the direction of the wiring through the light matter??? (That is, does it matter which lead I terminate, the male or female connector??)
G'day Peter,
Yes you can hardwire these kits if you want to have a more permanent setup, however we'd recommend chatting to an auto-electrician if you're not too sure about how to set this up. You'd need to cut the end with the cigarette plug and set up a wiring loom at that end. You can find the 3 way splitter in the Extension Cable Kit, and the tri colour dimmer switch here.
I have a Hard Korr 6 Bar kit which I purchased last year. The pictures show a different controller. would I be righ? Is this an upgraded version with a warm light setting? I just dont want to purchase the exact same one. Many thanks
G'day Ben,
Yes, Hard Korr has updated these kits, and now has a slightly different controller so that you have the option of warm white. The good news is, you can use the new dimmer switch on your existing kit, and you'll get the warm white option. You can pick up the new tri-colour dimmer here, be sure to check out the video, Ben talks through how to use it and all the great features.
hi guys, can you run the white and orange colours in the one light strip at the same time?
G'day Cameron,
You'll only be able to run the individual strip on either orange or on white.
Are the hard korr transformers compatible with these lights? Need a 240v plug in not 12v
G'day Nathan,
Yes, you'll be able to use the Korr 240V to 12V transformer with the 6 Bar LED 3 Colour Kit.
**N.B. The 6 Bar Kit will work with the 240 to 12V (36W) Transformer, however, if you plan to add any more lights onto this kit you'll need the 60W Transformer.
Could the pole clips included fit on a square pole measuring 25 mm x 25mm or 30mm x 30mm?
G'day Normann,
That's a tricky one, to be honest, ideally, they work best with a round pole of around 25mm diameter, but looking at the clips we think you'll be ok with 25mm square, 30mm square might be pushing it a little though.
hi can i run this light bat set directly from a car battery ? I want to use it for a twilight market and will take a car battery just to run this off. do you have the connection available battery clamps to cigarette socket to do this or is there a better way
G'day Narelle,
You can run these lights from a car battery, however, the cable has a cigarette socket attachment. You can get cigarette socket to battery clamp adapters from electronics stores (like Jaycar), so that should work.
I'm unsure of what cabling configurations are possible.
G'day Rodney,
The options are pretty flexible with the 6 Bar Orange/White LED Kit. You can run the 5m lead to the on/off switch and first bar, then each bar after one another in a series which would mean they're all on or all off using the switch. You can also set them up to run some off one switch and some off the other switch using a splitter, there are lots of options depending on your set up, but the idea is that you run everything from one plug.
